What's a good boutique hotel in the Union Square area of San Francisco?

I've stayed at the Orchard before and enjoyed it. Is there something similar in the area?What's a good boutique hotel in the Union Square area of San Francisco?
The Orchard is nice and they recently opened SF's first lead green certified hotel just outside the china town gates you may want to try.

My favorite boutique chain in SF is Joie de Vivre. Each of the hotels has its own unique style and are intimate and welcoming.
