Does anyone in Istanbul have a recomendation for a nice hotel with a balcony and a view? My husband and I will be in Istanbul for five nights and want to stay some place really special. Thanks!Looking for an upscale boutique hotel in Istanbul with a balcony.?
The Ambassador hotel has a nice ';penthouse'; room and a fantastic view from its terrace restaurant. It is about a block from the Hippodrome and Haiga Sohpia, etc. It also has a small Turkish bath facility.

If you want to rent a full apartment with a balcony and view -- just feet away from the Blue Mosque, there are two available. If you are interested, I could find the owner's e-mail address.Looking for an upscale boutique hotel in Istanbul with a balcony.?
The Four Seasons has several rooms with great views. It's very expensive, but you can go for lunch and eat on the terrace and see both the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia
I have lived in Istanbul for several years and I would have to say the hands down winner for the best and most unique hotel here is The Empress Zoe. There is a special double room that has a private terrace. There are courtyard suites and terrace suites. It is worth a look at their web site.

Since I'm not sure of your budget may I also suggest something a bit less expensive maybe not so unique or special but the rooms do have balconies

And then of course you may have a large budget then I would recommend the Ciragan Palace on the Bosporus with great views and balconies

I stayed at a boutique hotel right by the Blue Mosque and Haghia Sophia called Seven Hills. It is an old Ottoman style building with a nice roof top restuarant. I think only the top Presidential suite has a balcony but I could literally through a rock and hit the Haghia Sophia. It also had a jacuzzi. I paid only 150 US because my friends new the manager but I think it is more regularly. Personally I don't like the guy because he hit on me all the time but as a couple you won't have any problem. He also took us out to Taksim and should us the good night clubs and will take you shopping if you want. At any rate you can't beat the location. It is right across from the famous Four Seasons where Midnight Express was films.
